Authorities say the suspect fled with approximately $13,000 in cash.
Rohnert Park police are asking for the public’s help in locating a man they say robbed a bank Thursday and fled with $13,000 cash.
At approximately 11:31 a.m., the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety received a 911 call reporting a bank robbery that had just occurred within the 300 block of the Rohnert Park Expressway, the department said in a Friday news release.
The suspect entered the bank and told the teller he had a gun, threatening to shoot the teller if they did not give him cash. Bank employees did not see the firearm.
The suspect fled on foot with the money.
In a photo from security footage distributed by police, the man is wearing a sweatshirt. The police do not assume that the man is still in possession of the sweatshirt.
The investigation is ongoing, officials say.
Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety has urged anyone with information to contact Detective K. Escher at 707-588-3542 and refer to case #24-3692.
